What is the maximum safe load for Lightwave sockets?

All our wall sockets have a maximum load of 3000W that is to say, appliances with a power consumption greater than 3000W should not be used with the Lightwaverf sockets and adaptors. The maximum load if both sockets are in use at the same time is 4800W.

A higher consumption rate will damage the radio relay and will, if not immediately then eventually render it useless. There is no danger in terms of safety in using such devices; the damage is to the relay part of the device only. Please check the power consumption of your appliance before using it with a LightwaveRF device; such appliances include some high powered vacuum cleaners, electric heaters, electric irons, etc. We do also not recommend using appliances that are inductive and have their own motor.

Many tests are performed on the product before manufacture and they go through vigorous testing at the test house to ensure safe and correct operation in the UK. The units are British Standards (BS) certified. They have been on sale in the UK since 2011, and other electronic socket products from the same manufacturing factory have been on sale across Europe for more than two decades.
