How to Add Your Device to the Lightwave Link Plus App?

Step 1: Prepare Your Device for Pairing

Before you begin, ensure that:

  1. Hub Ready: Your Lightwave Link Plus hub is powered on and connected to your router with a Green Light.
  2. Device Installation: The device is correctly powered and installed.
  3. Reset if Needed: If the device was previously paired with another system, reset it. For detailed instructions, please refer to our Master Reset article.

Device-Specific Pairing Instructions

Dimmers

  1. Enter Pairing Mode:
    Press and hold the top and bottom buttons on one of the channels for 5 seconds until the LED flashes red and blue alternatively.L23_0035
  2. Pair in App:
    1. Tap the green plus (+) icon in the app.
    2. Select Devices and enter your device’s name.
    3. When the LINK button appears green (while the dimmer is in pairing mode), tap it to complete pairing.
  3. Retry if Needed:

Smart Sockets

  1. Enter Pairing Mode:

    Standard Socket:
    Press and hold any button until the LED alternates between red and blue.LP40HERO

    Plug-in Socket:
    Press and hold the top button until the LED alternates between red and blue.

  2. Pair in App:
    1. Tap the green plus (+) icon in the app.LP42_0034 (2)
    2. Select Devices and enter your device’s name.
    3. When the LINK button appears green (while the dimmer is in pairing mode), tap it to complete pairing.
  3. Retry if Needed:

Relays

  1. Enter Pairing Mode:
    • For a multi-channel relay (3-gang relay), press and hold any one of the buttons until the LED flashes red and blue alternatively.

  2. Pair in App:
    • Tap the green plus (+) icon in the app.
    • Select Devices and enter the device name.
    • When the LINK button turns green and the relay remains in pairing mode, tap it to complete pairing.
  3. Retry if Needed:

Smart Drivers

  1. Enter Pairing Mode:
    Ensure that the driver is receiving power (with both Live and Neutral connected). Then, press and hold the button until the LED flashes red and blue alternatively.
  2. Pair in App:

    • Select Devices and enter the device name.
    • When the LINK button turns green and the driver remains in pairing mode, tap it to complete pairing.
  3. Retry if Needed:

Scene Selectors (Wire-Free Controllers)

  1. Enter Pairing Mode:

Troubleshooting Pairing Issues

Why isn’t my device pairing?

  • Check Pairing Mode: Verify that the device’s LED is flashing Red & Blue and not Red, is the device is flashing red then please master reset your device.
  • Verify Hub Connection: Ensure the Lightwave Link Plus hub is online with a Greenlight and that the Link Plus is in an optimal range, we recommend that your Link Plus is positioned as high and as central as possible for optimal communication to your devices.
  • Restart: Try restarting the app and your smartphone.
