This articl will walk you through how to clear the memory and master reset a device
In certain circumstances you may wish to completely master reset a device, this is useful when it comes to troubleshooting.
Smart Series Dimmers
1. Press and hold both the up and down buttons on the 1gang/channel until the LED indicator flashes slowly, then release.
2. While the LED indicator is still flashing slowly, press and hold the down button until the red light starts flashing rapidly, then release the button.
3. After the device has been reset, the LED will flash green/white to show that it has been successfully hard reset. It will then undergo a calibration process, so please wait for this to finish before proceeding with linking the device.
- Before performing a hard reset, make sure to remove the device from the app. Failure to do so will prevent you from relinking the device after the reset is complete.
- Performing a hard reset on one channel of the smart series dimmers will clear the entire device memory, regardless of whether it is a 2, 3, or 4 gang dimmer. There is no need to reset each channel individually. However, please be aware that this will also erase any associated automation settings. You will need to set up these automations again after relinking the device.
Resetting a Socket
1) Press and hold ether button on the socket until the LED flashes, then release
2) Hold down the same button once more until the red LED light flashes rapidly, then release
3) The device should now be reset.
Resetting any other device
For all other Lightwave devices, such as relays or smart sensors, the resetting process is the same as resetting a socket. Simply use the linking button on the device, just as you would with a socket button.
