What type of LED Strip Lights can I use with Lightwave?

LED strip lighting can transform your living space, but it's essential to choose the right setup to ensure safety, compatibility, and optimal performance with Lightwave products. This article outlines best practices for both dimmable white LED strips and color-changing RGB/RGBW strips.

Part 1: Dimmable White LED Strips with Lightwave Dimmers

When connecting dimmable white LED strip lighting to a Lightwave smart dimmer, please follow these key recommendations:

Required Components:

Wiring Guidelines:

  • Maximum length per channel: 10 metres

  • Wattage per channel: Minimum 10W / Maximum 100W

  • One driver per channel: More than 1 LED Driver can shorten your dimmers lifespan

  • Neutral wire: Strongly recommended to improve dimming stability

Recommended Strip Types:

  • IP65-rated gel strips

  • COB (Chip-on-Board) LED strips
