When connecting dimmable LED strip lighting to our dimmer, it's important to consider the following recommendations.

  • To ensure optimal dimming and compatibility, it is essential to use a 24v LED Triac Dimmable driver with Lightwave dimmers. - 12v dimmable drivers do not work with smart dimmers
  • The length of the LED strip must not exceed 10 meters per channel.
  • The wattage of the LED strip must not exceed 100w per channel
  • Must have a minimum of 10w per channel
  • It is important to note that only one driver should be used per channel to avoid causing damage to the dimmer.
  • Opt for gel type IP65 rated LED strips or COB LED strips as they have shown improved performance in dimming capabilities and durability.
  • Highly recommended to connect a neutral wire where possible to improve dimming performance
  • Use cool or warm white LED strip lighting
