What do the LED lights on the Radiator Valve indicate?

Error Lights/Codes

Steady Green ‘On’: TRV is opening the radiator valve

Steady Amber ‘Off’: TRV is closing the radiator valve

Alternating On/Off (longer on LED): Linking mode

Alternating Off/On (longer off LED): Unlinking mode

Steady Red & Amber: Valve jammed or wrong pin

Steady Red & Green: Not mounted correctly / wrong pin

Flashing Red x10 times: low battery (App should also report low battery status).

The green light and error is an indicator that the range of movement is too large and so should be shortened with a longer adapter.

When the TRV opens and closes and shows the error light, it is an indication that the range of movement is too short or too large. If the error light flashes with the On light showing also, then this an indication the range of movement is too large, if it is with the Off light showing, it is an indication that the range of movement is too short. Using the other adapters or ensuring the device is not over/under tightened will ensure the range of movement is correct.

Positions 0-5 are used as set levels of openness in 20% increments (0%, 20%, 40%, 60%, 80%, 100%).

It Means the range of calibration is too big or too small. If red light flashes and the off light is on solid, it means that it can’t move as much as it needs to. If it’s the on light on solid, it means it can move more than it should be able to.
