COMMON QUERIES WITH SOCKETS

ISSUE CAUSE SOLUTION
LED on unit is not lit  
  • Faulty device
  • Seek replacement
App shows as paired but device does not respond
  • Not paired
  • Out of range
  • RF interference
  • Clear the memory and attempt to re-pair - How to clear the memory
  • Move Lightwave Link nearer to the device
  • Avoid positioning the Link or socket near water or metal objects

Note: the socket will need to flash blue after pairing mode as this confirms it has paired successfully
Device responds intermittently  
  • Out of range
  • RF interference
  • If possible try the socket closer to the transmitter (if the problem goes away, it is a range issue, if it doesn't then it could be RF interference)
  • Keep the device at least 30cm away from other RF devices and away from water and metal objects
Device makes a clicking noise (apart from when switching on/off)
  • Faulty device
  • Seek replacement
Device operates with another device when controlled by the app or an RF remote/controller
  •  Cross paired

ISSUE CAUSE SOLUTION
Relay clicks when controlled but nothing is happening with the lights/output
  • Incorrect wiring
  • Ensure wiring is correct from looking at the instruction guide (LW821 and LW830 particularly)
App shows as paired but device does not respond
  • Not paired
  • Out of range
  • RF interference
  • Clear the memory and attempt to re-pair - How to clear the memory
  • Move Lightwave Link nearer to the device
  • Avoid positioning the link or relay near water or metal objects
Device responds intermittently  
  • Out of range
  • RF interference
  • If possible try the relay closer to the transmitter (If the problem goes away, it is a range issue, if it doesn't then it could be RF interference)
  • Keep the device at least 30cm away from other RF devices and away from water and metal objects
