My automations are not running – What can I do?

This article explains what to do if your Lightwave automations are not running as expected. It outlines possible causes—such as incorrect settings, connectivity issues, or firmware problems—and provides troubleshooting steps to help restore your automations.

If your Lightwave automations aren’t working as expected, try the steps below to troubleshoot the issue:

🔍 1. Check Device Response in the App

Open the Lightwave app and try to manually control the device (e.g., turn it on/off).

  • ✅ If the device responds, move on to check your automation settings.

  • ⚠️ If you see “Error Sending Command”, – the device isn’t receiving signals. See this guide to fix communication issues.

📶 2. Verify Link Plus Hub Connection

Make sure your Lightwave Link Plus hub is:

  • 🔌 Plugged into power

  • 🌐 Your Link Plus is green & Connected to the internet 

Without a stable connection, automations sometimes will not run; however as long as the Link Plus is plugged into power, automations will run regardless of internet connectivity 

✅ 3. Confirm Automation Status

  • 🟢 Ensure the automation is enabled in the app.

  • 💾 Re-save the automation to ensure it's engraved in the hub's memory.

🔁 4. Recreate the Automation

Sometimes, deleting and recreating the automation helps resolve unseen issues.
