How to install the LP81 Smart Relay with Switch Sense Input

This device is the Same size as the LP82, but the LP81 is not an O/S/C relay instead it has a Switch Sense Input which can be wired to devices like non smart switches and non smart PIR motion sensors.

Switch Sense Input allows you to trigger Lightwave and third-party automations from non-Smart devices

Smart Relay works as a normal On/Off relay for non-dimmable loads up to 700W,

Also suitable for 6 amp circuit's

The LP81 has 4 Digital Input settings in the App which are:

Switch – Designed for PIR type input
Inverted Switch – as above with reversed action
Toggle – Standard light switch
Retractive – for momentary switches or multi-way switches wired in parallel

If the incorrect Input setting is selected, it will not harm the LP81, it will not work as intended

When utilising the Switch Sense Input with devices such as smoke detectors, heat sensors, wired motion sensors, and legacy control systems, it is essential that they are equipped with a 230v Switched Line Output.
