How to add Honeywell Devices to the Lightwave Link Plus App

This article provides step-by-step instructions for pairing Honeywell heating devices with your Lightwave system. It specifically refers to the Honeywell Thermostatic Radiator Valves (TRVs), including models HR91 and HR92, as well as the Honeywell wireless thermostat DT3R. Follow this guide to ensure successful integration and control of your heating setup.

 

Adding a Honeywell HR91 TRV

In the Lightwave App:

  1. Open the Lightwave Link Plus app.

  2. Tap the green plus (+) icon to add a new device.

  3. Select Devices.

  4. Choose Link Honeywell Device.

  5. Enter a unique name for the Honeywell TRV.
    The app is now ready for the linking process.

On the Device (TRV):

  1. Press and hold the binding button on the TRV for 5 seconds.

  2. The LED will flash amber for up to 2 minutes, indicating it’s in pairing mode.

  3. Immediately tap the Link icon in the app.

  4. The app will scan for the TRV.

  5. When pairing is successful, the LED will show solid green for 5 seconds.

  6. You can now assign the TRV to a room and begin controlling it manually or through automations.

Adding a Honeywell Thermostat

In the Lightwave App:

  1. Tap the plus (+) icon to add a device.

  2. Select Link Honeywell Home Device.

  3. Enter a name for the Thermostat.
    The app is now ready for the pairing process.

On the Thermostat:

  1. Long press the physical button until “PAr” appears on the display.

  2. Toggle down to RF and press the button to confirm.

  3. Then toggle to COn and press the button.

  4. Immediately press the Link button in the app.

  5. The app will begin scanning and, once found, you can assign the thermostat to a room.

  6. Tap Save or Done to complete the setup.

 

If You Don’t See the "COn" Option: Clear the Thermostat Memory

  1. Long press the physical button until “PAr” is displayed.

  2. Toggle down to RF and press the button.

  3. Toggle down to Clr and press the button to clear memory.

  4. Wait 10 seconds.

  5. Remove the battery, then restart the device.

  6. You can now retry the pairing process from the beginning.

How to Factory Reset the Honeywell DT3R

To return the Honeywell DT3R to its factory settings:

  1. Enter Programming Mode:

    • Press and hold the centre button on the DT3R for 5 seconds.

    • The screen will display PAr, indicating you're in the pairing/settings menu.

  2. Access the Reset Menu:

    • Press the centre button again to cycle through the available menus.

    • Use the up/down arrows to scroll to the menu labelled FS.

  3. Activate Factory Reset:

    • Once on FS, press the centre button.

    • In some cases, you may need to press and hold the centre button to confirm the reset.

  4. Confirmation:

    • The device will reset and return to default factory settings, clearing any previously stored configuration or pairing.
