How to Add a Device to the Link Plus App

The Lightwave Link Plus App and LinkPlus (L2) Hub is backwards compatible but the LinkPlus (LP2) is not backwards compatible.

This enables you to add the New SMART Series devices and older CONNECT Series devices to the same app.

It is important that you know which range of device you are using before adding it to the app.

Please follow the instructions below

ADDING A SMART SERIES DEVICE

Step 1: Press the green + button at the bottom of the app (this means ADD)

Step 2: Select the DEVICES icon

Step 3:

- Name the device appropriately at the top of the page.

- Put the device into LINKING MODE, indicated by a flashing RED and BLUE light.

- Press the LINK button in the app while the device is still flashing. The app will begin scanning, and once the device is found, it will flash rapidly in blue.

Please note: The Lightwave Link Plus app will automatically identify the type of device once it is linked.

For example, if you name a 4 gang dimmer "Kitchen," the app will scan and automatically discover all 4 channels.

In the app, the 4 channels will be displayed as Kitchen 1, Kitchen 2, Kitchen 3, and Kitchen 4.

You can then rename them as needed after they have been added.

Step 4: Choose the room where you want to assign the device, consider adding it to your favorites, then simply press DONE to successfully add the device.

ADDING A CONNECT SERIES DEVICE

When adding a Connect Series device, you will need to choose the device type from the provided images in the app. If it is a multi-channel device, you will have to add each channel individually. For example, for a 4 gang dimmer, you will need to repeat this process for each channel.

Step 1 and 2 are the same as above - To continue, proceed to

Step 3:

Select the "Link Connect Series Device" option located towards the bottom of the page.

Step 4: Select device type from the images

Step 5: Name the device accordingly and press NEXT

Step 6: Place the device into LINKING mode and PRESS LINK on the App

Step 7: Choose the desired room for device allocation, optionally add it to your favourites, and then press DONE to successfully complete the device addition process.

Note:

* Connect series devices cannot be added to the LP2, so the option to add one will not be shown.
