CONNECT SERIES - How do I clear the memory of the room thermostat (LW921)?
This process resets the thermostat so it can be paired again with a boiler switch or heating device.
🔧 What You’ll Need
- Your Lightwave LW921 Room Thermostat
- Access to the paired switch or receiver (if applicable)
🔁 Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Access the Thermostat Controls
Start by waking up the thermostat screen if it’s idle.
2. Enter Reset / Pairing Mode
- Press and hold the pair/reset button (usually located on the device or under a flap).
- Keep holding until the display changes or indicates it’s in pairing/reset mode.
👉 This step prepares the thermostat to forget its previous connection.
3. Clear the Stored Memory
- Continue holding the button until the thermostat confirms the reset.
- This may show as:
- A flashing icon
- A reset message
- Or the device returning to default settings
Once complete, the thermostat has cleared its previous pairing memory.
4. Re-pair the Thermostat
Now the device is reset, you can pair it again:
- Put your boiler switch / receiver into pairing mode.
- Trigger pairing from the thermostat (usually a button press).
- Wait for confirmation (LED flash or on-screen message).
✅ What This Fixes
- Thermostat not connecting to a switch
- Pairing stuck or incorrect
- Device previously paired to another system
⚠️ Tips
- Stay close to the receiver when pairing
- Make sure only one device is in pairing mode at a time
- If pairing fails, repeat the reset process once more
