When you authorise IFTTT to access LightwaveRF API, you allow IFTTT to send certain commands to certain devices which are related to the channel you are connecting to. The devices, and the relevant commands they can do will then be displayed to you in the UI, and you can choose when they run based off of the "ingredients".
