How to set up Dimming Profile

Dimming profiles allow the user to customise the ramp function and the ramp time of the lamp dimming during dim level changes.

These happen during manual dimming through the physical buttons, remote dimming from the app, automations and third-party control.

The dimming profiles are independent on each gang, meaning that a multi-gang dimmer can have multiple different profiles set up.

Dimming profiles are a good way to customise the way the lights come on and turn off. The feature can also be used to compensate for LED lamps that have a non-linear dimming response to achieve the best performance.

Custom profiles can enhance lighting animations for multi-lighting-zone scenarios, with some lighting fixtures coming on or fading away more swiftly, while others could follow a different pattern that blend in the environment creating a luxurious lighting scene.

Note that in multi-way switching configurations the lamp will be following the dim profile of the master dimmer.

The dimming profile feature can only be adjusted in the Lightwave app.

This option can be found in the settings tab on the relevant dimmer channel under the Advanced section.

You can adjust the curve range by moving each green marker to your desired positions.

Duration is how long it takes to get to 100% brightness.

This can set from 0.1s - 15 minutes
