Outdoor lighting circuits are often exposed to:
- **Condensation or damp conditions**
- **Weather-related fluctuations in humidity or temperature**
- **Ingress risks** through conduit or backbox entry points
Even if the dimmer is installed indoors but controls outdoor fittings, the potential for **moisture to track back through cabling** can lead to long-term reliability issues.
