The Do automation can be used to trigger multiple actions at once and create different moods or scenes for your Lightwave devices connected to the LinkPlus. This can be triggered through the Lightwave app or could even be done via Alexa.
To setup the Do automation, you need to first press the plus button at the bottom of the page.
Then select automations.
Press on the Do automation.
Now you can add in the devices you want to activate with the Do automation. Just press ‘Add Action’.
Here are some of the devices you could include in a Do automation. Just tap on the ones you want to automate.
Once you select a device to automate, it will ask you how you want to automate it. As you can see ‘Switch’ and ‘Brightness’ has been selected, this will allow you to set whether you want the device to turn on/off and what brightness level you would like the dimmer to be at.
When you have chosen your ways to control the device, press the ‘Done’ button. After all the devices you want to automate have been selected then press the ‘Tick’ button in the top right of the screen.
This will take you to the summary page, here you can check you have selected all the devices you want to automate and change the way they are controlled.
By tapping on the ‘Set Switch to’ option on each device you can change whether you want the device to come on or off. This is the same for the ‘Set Brightness to’ option where you can change what brightness the device will be.
There is also the option to add a delay for each device by pressing the ‘After’ option. For example, you could have a device turn on and then 5 minutes later have it turn off.
To finish creating the Do automation, press the ‘Arrow’ in the top right corner.
The last thing needed is to enter the name for the automation, this is just so you can tell what the automation is for. Then press the ‘Tick’ button in the top right to make it.
As shown below the Do automation will show as a little tile which you can press on to activate it. After you press on the tile it will ask you to ‘Execute’ it, this will start the automation you have setup.
