The New Lightwave Link Plus App and LinkPlus (L2) Hub is backwards compatible but the LinkPlus (LP2) is not backwards compatible.
This enables you to add the New SMART Series devices and older CONNECT Series devices to the same app.
It is important that you know which range of device you are using before adding it to the app.
Please follow the instructions below
ADDING A SMART SERIES DEVICE
Step 1: Press the green + button at the bottom of the app (this means ADD)
Step 2: Select the DEVICES icon
Step 3:
- Name the Device accordingly (top of the page)
- Place the device into LINKING MODE (must be flashing RED and BLUE)
- Press LINK in the app when device is still flashing (app will start scanning and when found the device will do a rapid blue flash)
Please note: The link plus app will automatically recognise the device type when linked.
E.g.
Name a 4 gang dimmer Kitchen - The app will scan and all 4 channels will automatically be discovered
All 4 channels will appear in the app as Kitchen 1, Kitchen 2, Kitchen 3 and Kitchen 4
These can then be renamed after they have been added.
Step 4: Select the Room you would like to allocate the device to, add to favourites page if you wish and press DONE - The device has been added
ADDING A CONNECT SERIES DEVICE
Steps 1 and 2 are the same as above
When adding a connect series device you will need to select the device type from the images provided in the app.
Please note: if this is a multi channel device, each channel will need to be added one at a time
e.g A 4 gang dimmer - You will need to go thorough this process for each channel
Step 3: Select LINK CONNECT SERIES DEVICE (towards bottom of page)
Step 4: Select device type from the images
Step 5: Name the device accordingly and press NEXT
Step 6: Place the device into LINKING mode and PRESS LINK on the App
Step 7: Select the Room you would like to allocate the device to, add to favourites page if you wish and press DONE - The device has been added
Note:
* Connect series devices cannot be added to the LP2, so the option to add one will not be shown.
