Apple Home Kit (AHK), Google Home, Alexa and other voice command platforms will not discover the smart mini relay if it has been added to our app as Open Stop and Close (O/S/C)

Due to this limitation from 3^rd party apps, you MUST add the Smart mini relay to the Lightwave app as ON and OFF not O/S/C

When the L82 has been added to our app as ON and OFF it will then appear in AHK/Goole and Alexa as a controllable device.  

To make this compatible you MUST set up x2 "IF-DO" Automations in the Lightwave phone app. (Web app does not support this)

Even though you have set the relay up as ON and OFF in the Lightwave app, the “IF DO” automation will still pick up the O/S/C as a programmable feature. This provides a work around for use on 3^rd party apps to give you the control you need.

 

Please instructions below:

The First IF-DO automation - IF relay is ON relay will OPEN

ADD AUTOMATION & SELECT IF-DO

 

IF is classed a TRIGGER (When this happens)

ADD TRIGGER

SELECT THE RELAY

SELECT SWITCH

SET RELAY TO ON (tapping the tile will change state on/off)

 

DO is classed as the ACTION (This is what happens) 

ADD ACTION

SELECT THE RELAY

SELECT O/S/C

SET RELAY TO OPEN

NAME & SAVE THE AUTOMATION  

Now If the relay is turned ON at any time from the apps or voice commands, the ACTION of the relay will always be OPEN

The SECOND “IF DO” automation - IF relay is OFF relay will CLOSE

 

ADD AUTOMATION & SELECT IF-DO

IF is classed a TRIGGER (When this happens)

SELECT THE RELAY

SELECT SWITCH

SET RELAY TO OFF (tapping the tile will change state on/off)

 

DO is classed as the ACTION (This is what happens)

SELECT THE RELAY

SELECT O/S/C

SET RELAY TO CLOSE

NAME & SAVE THE AUTOMATION  

Now If the relay is turned OFF at any time from the apps or voice commands, the ACTION of the relay will always be CLOSE

The is all set up and will now work with AHK, GOOGLE, ALEXA etc..

 

You will notice that for voice commands in 3^rd party apps you will have to say turn on or off blinds, but this is not smart so you can customise this in their app

 

For example you can:

• SET UP A ROUTINE IN ALEXA with a desired phrase which will turn on or of the relay
• SET UP A SCENE in AHK will allow you to say what you want.

Apple HomeKit Instructions:

ADD CUSTOM SCENE

ADD SCENE NAME (you may want to put something like OPEN BLINDS)

ADD ACCESSORIES

SELECT THE RELAY

PRESS DONE

SET STATE OF RELAY TO “ON”

PRESS DONE

Now you can say “Hey Siri Open Blinds” instead of Turn on blinds

You can also do another scene for Closing the blinds

 

Please note:
Depending on your electric motor set up you may need to also add in the actions section STOP with an approx 5s delay after the OPEN or CLOSE action

 
So one TRIGGER and two ACTIONS

For example –

Trigger is relay ON

The first Action is (O/S/C) Relay OPEN,  

The second action is (O/S/C) Relay STOP after 5s (after means delay)
